Back in November 2018 after a huge renovation effort by Katumba members, core team and volunteers, we launched our beautiful mid-sized community and arts venue – the Katumba Culture Hub – in the heart of Liverpool’s city centre.
Since then the venue, located in John Archer Hall, which has its own car park and is easily reached by train and bus, has hosted innumerable one-off and regular community, arts and wellbeing events.
Events we have hosted at the Katumba Culture Hub venue so far include conscious clubbing, yoga, festivals, dance and music classes, arts and community workshops – including hosting an entire primary school on one day! – and buzzing markets.
Designed to welcome people of all ages, nationalities and walks of life to have a great time together, the hall is a highly versatile, warm and welcoming space with a range of lighting and environment options.
The space is available for parties, conferences, workshops, classes, clubs, gatherings, launches, dance, readings, fairs, music and rituals – and any other event you wish.
The hall is a beautiful yoga studio, and has yoga equipment that can be hired alongside the space.

Also on offer is our recording studio located in the venue, which is suitable for a range of creative projects.
Whether you’re interested in hiring the space for your private party, ticketed/public event, or on a regular basis as part of your enterprise, we have plenty of availability throughout the week and weekends.
Past clients include Barnados UK (conference), Chevening (wellbeing workshop) and Juba Do Leao (studio recording).

John Archer Hall is named after the first British-born Black mayor of anywhere in the UK, John Archer. He was born in Liverpool in 1863 and became Mayor of Battersea in 1913.
