Halloween Crafts for all Ages this Sunday 20th October
Get cosy and creative as a family or group of friends this weekend – make a paper lantern or spooky craft with Katumba for our upcoming Halloween Parade!
From 11am till 2pm Katumba Culture Hub will be a hive of Halloween activity this Sunday 20th October, as families get busy cutting, gluing, weaving and sticking to make lanterns and other spooky light-up props!
The lanterns and parade props are easy to make and are a magical craft for Halloween and will help light the way for our Halloween Parade the following weekend!
We have 3 props to choose from – each one has been carefully designed by Karen A Scott Maker to only take 20 minutes, which gives crafters plenty of time to soak up the music, atmosphere, and cake! Or, continue crafting throughout the day!
Hosted by LUMA Creations – lanterns will take a little more time and focus, but are a great project for the whole family to get stuck into! Working together as a team, a group or family can create a lantern together for just £10.
Props are £5 per adult. Children go free. Make as many props as you wish!
Creators are invited to take part in our parade on Saturday 26th with their crafts, alongside over 150 drummers, dancers, performers and artists!
If they can’t make the parade (or it is a little too late for the little ones) crafts can be collected in November from the Katumba Culture Hub, and taken home to display proudly in the living room, or re-use for other winter events such as Bonfire Night or the Winter Solstice.
Places are limited so booking is highly advised. Free spaces available for residents of Windsor Street area – just turn up on the day.
