Lisa has 20 years experience in the arts and since moving to Liverpool in 2014 has worked for a variety of local organisations including Liverpool Philharmonic, Unity Theatre, Milap and Manchester International Festival. She has also worked freelance for a wide range of festivals and events as a show rep/event manager including the Kazimier, Harvest Sun, Boomtown, Festival Number Six, London Film Festival, Sound City and Port Eliot Festival.
Originally from Milton Keynes, she studied Music at Dartington College of Arts in Devon, a course which looked at contemporary classical music and a variety of music from around the world.
She has taken a firm interest in Brazilian culture over the past decade, having previously trained capoeira and regularly dancing the partner dance forró. She is also learning Portuguese in her spare time, and is delighted to be working for
Katumba, such a culturally rich, community and wellbeing focused organisation, as Operations and Finance Manager.
