We’re finally back to performing and teaching in person! It was amazing to keep connecting with you all throughout lockdown with our online activities, but we can’t wait to throw open our doors and see you in person on the 21st of May, 2021!

We’ll be kicking off part of Liverpool Light Night with a few free street performances:

We’ll be in a few places: outside our Katumba Culture Hub at John Archer Hall on Upper Hill Street at 6.30pm and also drumming up Squash’s street games until 7.15pm.

Then, from 8pm we’ll be at the Anglican Cathedral joining the festivities there – the events are free, so come join the carnival and play with us, Katumba style!

You can check out the Light Night website for the John Archer Hall event herehttps://lightnightliverpool.co.uk/whats-on/play-the-katumba-way/

And for more information on the main event, where we’ll be playing outside the Cathedral at 8pm, and inside with their choir at 9pm you can see the Light Night website herehttps://lightnightliverpool.co.uk/whats-on/lightnight-at-the-cathedral/

We’ve all got plenty of pent-up drumming-and-moving energy after such a long time away, and we want to celebrate as the summer comes and the restrictions ease – plus, to top it all off, we’ll be celebrating KATUMBA’S ANNIVERSARY at the same time! See you there – we promise to make it a celebration to remember!

But no worries if you can’t make it, you can join us IN PERSON: with lockdown restrictions lifting, we’re also SO excited to be opening up our doors again to music, movement and mindfulness lessons, classes and events, so if you’ve been craving a little community & wellbeing over lockdown, take a look at our classes page or wander down to an event – we’d love to see you!
