Black History Month Drumming and Movement Tasters!
Come and see what the Katumba Drumming and Movement Buzz is about and how it supports your wellbeing this Black History Month.
This Black History Month, we will be offering FREE drumming and movement sessions for those who want to share in our Afro-Brazilian Art form!
Our first session is for those who are part of the Global Majority only – then the following sessions are for EVERYONE!
Katumba will always be inclusive and we will continue to offer sessions for all people, whilst ALSO holding safe spaces for those from marginalised communities – sometimes that means a space that belongs solely to that group!
WANT TO JOIN IN?
Come and see what the Katumba Drumming and Movement Buzz is about and how it supports your wellbeing! Meet our Afro/native Brazilian co-founder Juliana, who will be leading the session and have lots of fun – the Brazilian way!
Through these sessions we will be exploring elements of the African Brazilian artform: carnival!
At the end of our project you will be given the opportunity to perform at our Halloween Carnival with the rest of our Katumba troupe!
The sessions and our carnival will be celebrating the heritage, culture and wellbeing practices of people of the African Diaspora during Black History Month, so we are welcoming our Global Majority community to join in!
These are FREE DROP IN SESSIONS – so you do not need to attend every session to get involved.
Simply pre-book here to ensure your space, or just turn up
